Abstract

Problems that often occur in fresh water generator are the incompatibility of fresh air and sea air in each pipe, the temperature of fresh air and sea air which is not suitable before and after passing through a fresh water generator, and the movement or water attached to the surface of the plate both in the evaporator and condenser arising from evaporation in the evaporator and condensation on the condenser. This results in not optimizing fresh water generator, decreasing the quality and quality of fresh water generator production which increases the consumption of fresh water on ships. Based on this, the causes canbe obtained from an unapproved vacuum, there is a difference between the evaporator and the condenser part. The need for management is related to this, soresearch is carried out to optimize the performance of fresh water generator.

The type of method used in this study is to use qualitative methods, namely research that aims to solve the actual problems faced and collect data or informationto be compiled, analyzed andanalyzed later.

The fresh water generator, so that if one day a fresh water plant occurs, it canbe overcome according to the problem solving that will be examined in this appliedscientific work. So the author of this applied scientific paper is expected to be able to provide solutions to improve the quality and quality of fresh water generator production on the boat. In this case, the results of the discussion of conclusions willbe outlined in this applied scientific work after the author carries out the practice of sailing, whilecar rying out the sailing practice, the aut horcon duct sresearch.
