The research method used is a qualitative method, where the research data sources used are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in research using observation, interviews and documentation studies. In the primary data collection technique is done by means of interviews and direct observation, while the secondary data is obtained from document studies.

The data analysis technique used in this study is a simplification of data collection. The results of this study indicate that maintenance using the periodic method on the MV ship. Meratus Ultima 2. has been carried out with the correct procedures to make it easier to carry out maintenance. As well as the impact of the drop in hydraulic pump pressure caused by a lack of maintenance so that it does not cause leaks and thus hampers the process of withdrawing or lowering the anchor by the anchor machine.
